Heat Surge Offers Comfort & Savings
We’re excited about the launch of this season’s Heat Surge “Fireless Flame” fireplaces and Amish crafted mantles.
We pride ourselves in providing high quality products not yet available in retail stores.
The heating unit used in all Heat Surge fireplaces has been inspected for quality and UL listed.
The fireplaces feature “Fireless Flame” technology that gives the appearance of a real fire without flames, fumes, smells, ashes or mess.
The fireplaces are just plugged in. Chimneys and vents are not needed.
In addition, the fireplaces are extremely effective when used for “zone heating.”
According to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Web site*, “zone heating involves heating the occupied rooms in your home while allowing unoccupied sections (such as empty guest rooms or seldom-used rooms) to remain cooler. Zone heating can produce energy savings of more than 20 percent compared to heating both occupied and unoccupied areas of your house.”
“Zone heating is most effective when the cooler portions of your home are insulated from the heated portions, allowing the different zones to truly operate independently. Note that the cooler parts of your home still need to be heated to well above freezing to avoid freezing pipes.”*
The device is portable and can easily be moved from room to room.
For every degree you turn down your thermostat for eight hours, you can save 1.5 percent on your monthly energy bill, according to data from the Dominion Web site.*
Studies indicate when the fireplace is turned down to the medium setting, 750 watts, or 2559 BTU’s it can easily heat a average size bedroom for about eight cents an hour. On the high setting, 1500 watts, or 5119 BTU’s it can handle a 325 square foot room for about 16 cents an hour.
