How do you handle customer concerns?

Beginning in October 2007, we took significant steps to further improve our customer service. These solutions included increased staffing and training, extended hours, installing advanced software and telephone systems as well as implementing improved product handling methods. These have resulted in all customer concerns being addressed to the satisfaction of each consumer and where applicable, our local Better Business Bureau.

Customer concerns and resolution are important to us. Because we give priority to our customers, we’ve been able to immediately handle 99 percent of our customer calls since July. Through this, we are continuing to exceed our customers’ expectations.

Here is a common question.

Are the people who make the Heat Surge fireplace mantles really Amish?

There are dozens of shops and hundreds of Amish woodworkers in Holmes and Geauga counties in Ohio that make the wooden mantles. They absolutely are Amish, as confirmed by local Better Business Bureau representatives who have been taken on tours to the Amish shops that build the mantles.

Why do you have limited deadlines on some of your offers?

We need to properly staff our phone lines to handle calls as well as to manage production schedules of the Amish craftsmen. After all, they are made one at a time and our shipping schedule must be as promised to our customers at the time we take their order.
